Raleigh residents and employees may soon hear a lot less from City Council members. The Raleigh City Council voted 7-1 this week to adopt a code of conduct, limiting council members’ contact with city staff and advisory boards where residents are expected to work independently. Police: Man tells children 'I am going to take you' in Belmont attempted kidnapping

More lawmakers join push for proposed legislation that would repeal HB2

RALEIGH, NC (WBTV) - New legislation, filed Wednesday, in the North Carolina House of Representatives, is gaining additional bipartisan support as it seeks to repeal the state’s controversial House Bill 2. House Bill 186 was introduced with bipartisan support, being filed by two Republicans and two Democrats. Since then 15 additional lawmakers have signed on as sponsors of the bill, which includes three additional Democrats and twelve Republicans. Woman ejected from vehicle in crash after police chase in Gaston Co
